Day 18 — Do you have to eat means with your family? Are the for or against your diet? Totally for it, I eat with my family about once a week. I live by myslef about 20 minutes from my mom.
Day 19 — Have you ever lied to avoid eating something? I don’t think so, I hate mushrooms and refuse to eat them regardless.
Day 20 — Do you binge? How often and what triggers it? Yes, smoking pot or drinking typically is my trigger. I’ve really cut back on the drinkings though. Day 21 — Do you listen to music when you work out? You betcha, I listen to the power and pop workout station on Pandora. LOVE IT!!
Week Four Challenge: Switch up your diet. Try one fruit and one vegetable you’ve never tried before, and learn how to cook a new healthy meal.
Day 22 — Are you generally smaller or larger than your friends? Larger, definintely larger. I have one friend who is super in shape, another that is 5’8, and another that is naturally small but she keeps gaining weight. She won’t listen to anyone about eating healthy and it’s unfortunate because she’s beautiful. Day
Day 23 — Do you feel that your weight holds you back socially? Sort of, I’m not nearly as confident as I used to be and I just feel like a whale in public. I just need my confidence back, that would be cake!
Day 24 — Is losing weight one of your top priorities in life? Yep, its all I think about. This morning I allowed myself to have my first Dr Pepper for the first time in 4 weeks. Worst idea ever, I felt guilty and soooo bloated afterwards. I won’t be doing that again. It definitely didn’t taste as good as it used to!
After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse.
Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter…
Day 14 — Do you ever allow yourself a “rest day” from exercise or a “cheat day” from your diet? Yes, typically Tuesday. Last week I slacked off more than I’d like but I still ate well and had one heck of a workout Saturday.
Day 15 — What’s your favorite kind of exercise? Getting on my bicycle and going around riverside, I love it!
Day 16 — Have you ever missed a work out just because you couldn’t be bothered? Yep, that’s how I felt last Friday. I have just learned not to beat myself up, also I had stood for 5 hours that day and I can’t stand just standing around.
Day 17 — Have you ever been called fat? Or skinny? Never skinny. I can see it people’s eyes when they see me, they think I’m fat.
SO….I decided to weigh myself this morning AND I was 6lbs down from Monday!! This is after I weighed in Monday morning and finding out I had “gained” 3lbs…obviously it was all water weight! I haven’t had pop since Sunday and it’s really paid off, I think all the sodium in diet pop was hindering the truth of my good eating. I’ve ate normal this week, within my WW points, and had a beer or two and I still lost. Hard work does pay off.
Also, I’ve been drinking about 100 ounces of water a day to flush out any extra sodium=)
Wow, I love this weather and wish I had no complaints….but I refuse to turn my AC on. It’s 79 in my house and I’ve had the windows open all night….I just have lay still and let the fans blow on me and keep telling myself not to turn the AC on. My poor pup, I had to give her an ice cube earlier to help with her panting!
Oh well, I’m not really complaining….I’m just super glad it’s not winter!
Day 11 — What are your family’s eating habits like?
My mom and stepdad eat pretty healthy, maybe some pizza here and there
My dad and stepmom are a different story, they’re overweight, probably not obese by any means. They live near Houston and eat Mexican and drinks crown and margaritas and corona pretty religiously. I envy their life to extent, but I KNOW it’s not healthy.
